Lou Gentile

Louis Gentile, born in Newark, New Jersey, is a guitarist who has been in the music field for over thirty years. He has earned a B.A. degree from Montclair State College, majoring in music theory and composition, and in music education. Louis also performs on pedalsteel and vocals. He has worked with Stephen Schwartz as guitarist, vocalist and providing the guitar arrangement for the 30th anniversary revival of “Godspell”. Louis has lived in Nashville. He has opened for national acts, including Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings and comedian Henny Youngman. Currently, Louis has been active as a film & television composer,as well as an instructor of applied music at Bergen Community College in Paramus, N.J.
